Personal Information I Collect
When you interact with me, I collect Personal Information that you voluntarily provide. For example, when you sign up for my newsletter or other e-mail lists or otherwise use certain aspects of my Services, I may ask you to provide information such as your name and e-mail address. In addition to collecting information on my Site, I may collect information from you when you communicate with us via e-mail. You can choose not to provide any information that is requested of you by me. However, this may limit your ability to use the Services.
Non-Personal Information Automatically Collected
Myself and my third-party service providers may use a variety of technologies, now and hereafter devised, that automatically record certain usage information. When accessing my Site, Squarespace may log your IP address, access URL, time of access, geographic location, browser type, and referral URL in order to provide me with internal information regarding Site traffic statistics. This information may also be used to identify users who are using my Site for spam or other activity that is deemed in conflict with my Terms of Service. Otherwise, this information is used in the aggregate, and is never linked back to any Personal Information.
Cookies and Other Technologies I Use
Squarespace and my other service providers may also use “pixel tags,” “web beacons,” “clear GIFs,” or similar means in connection with my Site and HTML-formatted e-mail messages to, among other things, track the actions of users, to determine the success of marketing campaigns and to compile aggregate statistics about Site usage and response rates. This information is collected anonymously, in a manner that does not personally identify you.
My Use of Your Information
I mainly use Your Information, either alone or in combination with other information, so that I can provide, enhance and personalize my Services and related content.
Your Information is used and disclosed for, but is not limited to, the following purposes:
to provide you with the best user experience possible;
to respond to your questions and comments;
to communicate with you regarding updates to my Services;
to send you my newsletter or other subscriptions;
to help me develop, customize, deliver, support and improve my Services and content;
to protect the rights or property of Pixel Fondue or my users, and prevent fraud and other prohibited or illegal activities;
for distribution to third-party service providers that provide services to me;
to protect the security of my Services and business;
to conduct system administration and system troubleshooting and to diagnose or fix technology problems;
for marketing and advertising purposes;
for my internal purposes (such as auditing and data analysis);
otherwise, as disclosed to you at the point of collection; and
to monitor and analyze use of the Services and for the technical administration of the Services.
I may combine your Personal Information with Non-Personal Information and aggregate it with information collected from other users or sources to attempt to provide you with a better experience, to improve the quality of our Services, and to analyze and understand how our Services are used. I may also use the combined information without aggregating it to serve you specifically. After you terminate your use of the Services, I may continue to use your Non-Personal Information for statistical purposes or other purposes as I see fit. Please note that I cannot guarantee that Non-Personal Information will not identify you as I cannot guarantee that others with access to Non-Personal Information may not have knowledge sufficient to identify you.
Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to purchase products on the Site, or technically be on the internet for that matter unless accompanied by an adult. TransientArt.com does not knowingly collect Personal Information about children under the age of 13 or allow them to place orders on the Site. If TransientArt.com learns that a child under the age of 13 is placing orders on the Site, TransientArt.com will close the child's account and delete all information collected about the child. Notwithstanding the foregoing, TransientArt.com may choose to retain the child's e-mail address as a means to prevent the child from re-registering with TransientArt.com in unrealistic hopes that the 13 year old isn't technologically savvy enough to simply register another e-mail address.
I take reasonable steps to protect Personal Information and use technology such as SSL encryption, access control procedures, firewalls and physical security. If you use Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer, SSL displays a "lock" to signify that a page is secure. I urge you to use a password to protect your account from unauthorized access by others. If others, including family or household members, access and use the Site through your password, you are responsible for the actions of those individuals. I don't care if your obnoxious sibling who posted on Facebook on your account or nosy mother-in-law logs into the Site unsupervised and unauthorized: your responsibility, mmkay? Cool.
Changes to The Transient Art Privacy Statement
TransientArt.com may make changes to this Privacy Statement from time to time. I will post changes to the privacy statement here, so be sure to check back periodically, or maybe sometimes. I may also notify you of significant changes by e-mail or in other ways such as the notion of telepathy.
Questions, Comments, Concerns
If you have any questions or comments about my use of Personal Information, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will use reasonable efforts to promptly investigate any complaint you may have regarding my use of Personal Information.
