Oh, Anne! ♥︎ I don't know how I would've lived without Anne of Green Gables in my life! Such a funny, sweet, endearing story that every girl should read and watch at least once.

The moment I saw that Penny Rose Fabrics was going to be releasing a line of Anne of Green Gables fabric, I swooned and waited very (im)patiently for its release. Isn't it gorgeous?? Pale raspberry cordial pinks, blues, creams, and green of course.

I love the little illustrations, the sweet colors, and the panel- which became a very fast little baby quilt. Boom, done.

Lyla liked the panel a lot, had to iron it out about 3 times since she kept taking it and putting it on her rocking chair before I had the chance to work with it lol. I made up a sort of rose floral pattern for my free-motion machine quilting, not perfect, but I like how it turned out.

I used Simplicity's pattern #2461 to make a dress for Lyla with the fabric. I kept it pretty simple and tried to have it evoke a sort of Anne spirit.

From Amy Sinibaldi's book, Sweetly Stitched Handmades, I made the airmail simple tote bag. Perfect for a book bag. I used the stamp fabric in the line on the flap of the envelope.
